Architectural, Conceptual. This month We join forces with London based architecture and design studio SoHo+Co for our latest sock pairing.
An exciting new addition to our portfolio for men and women, these architectural socks are designed with proportion and precision referencing the white stripe on the badger’s forehead.
Internationally recognised for the creation of the Japanese inspired Moon Garden in East London and their work on Centre Point and the new Maggie's cancer caring centre in Oldham, duo Tom Holberton and Jasmin Sohi’s first ever sock design draws on their unique philosophy for their striking ‘Meles Meles’ socks, so named after the Latin name for the badger.
About The DesignersSoHo+Co is rooted in the ambiguous, between cultures, scales and disciplines. The work offers space for delight through offering unscripted, blurred edges and meanings where human interpretation and interaction completes the landscape. Designed with precision, it enjoys the tension between the defined and the undefined. We create ideas, stories, objects and spaces.
JapanWe enjoy the translation of ideas, traditions, and culture between Japan and the UK. From this we develop designs, events, art, and products that allow ideas to engage with new audiences.
The Inspiration behind "Meles Meles"“As the antidote to pattern, these badger socks playfully tease with the ambiguous. Bold, monochromatic and abstract, they might just become nocturnal woodland animals on your feet.”
